Domestic indices ended with strong gains after hitting fresh intraday high in late trade.Positive global cues boosted investors sentiment. The sentiment was also buoyed after data showed inflation eased in August, increasing the likelihood that the central bank will keep interest rates on hold in October. The Nifty 50 gained 145.30 points and settled the day at 11515.20. All the sectorial indices ended in green note. Among them, Realty and Pharma sector were the major gainers of the day.

Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Property, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares lower. The PSEi Composite fell 1.39% to hit a new 1-month low.
Japan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Rubber, Mining and Chemical; Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher. The Nikkei 225 gained 1.19% to hit new 6-months high.
Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Optoelectronic, Machinery and Electronic Parts/Components sectors led shares higher. The Taiwan Weighted gained 1.31%
