Australia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy, Consumer Discretionary and A-REITs sectors led shares higher. The S&P/ASX 200 gained 1.16%.

China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.40% to 2,889 while the SZSE Component was up 0.29% at 9714.
