Markets traded higher on the last trading session of the week amid firm global cues as comments from Federal Reserve official eased worries about faster rate rises in the United States. Nifty 50 ended the session to close at 10504.55.
The metal and pharma shares were the major gainers of the day while FMCG shares were the major losers of the day.

BNP Paribas has officially launched a new Investment Fund, with the purpose of locating and investing in technology startups that are creating innovative solutions in the financial services and insurance industries. Singapore’s Straits Times Index STI, +1.28% rose 1.3%, and Korea’s Kospi SEU, +1.54% closed up 1.5%, the best day since Oct. 10. Taiwan’s Taiex Y9999, +1.24% finished up 1.2%.
