Domestic bourses opened higher and firmed up as the session advanced. Though, after some range bound trading in mid session, key benchmark indices extended gains and hit fresh intraday high in late trade. Thus, equity market settled with strong gains bolstered by a recovery in global stocks. The nifty 50 gained 125.20 points and settled at 10714.30. The health of the market was strong. Metal and Realty sector were the major gainers of the day.
