Shares of Apple suppliers traded higher in Asia today, with Japan-listed Sharp jumping almost 5%, while South Korea’s LG Display and Hong Kong-listed AAC Technologies gaining 1.8% and 1.9% respectively. Taiwan’s Largan Precision climbed 2.8%.

Japan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Paper & Pulp, Railway & Bus and Real Estate sectors led shares higher. At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 0.96% to hit a new 1-month high.

Australia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Materials, Metals & Mining and Resources sectors led shares higher. At the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 added 0.36%.

U.S. stocks were mixed, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares lower. At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.28% to hit a new 1-month high.
