Benchmark indices traded higher for the fourth day as the early arrival of monsoon kept the sentiments bullish for the domestic markets besides global cues remained bit cautious as European geopolitical fears sapped risk appetite, weighing on Asian stocks too. However the gains in Indian markets were limited due to profit booking. Nifty ended the session to close at 9619.85.Pharma and Realty stocks were the major gainers of the day while FMCG stocks were the losers for the day.

Asian shares eased with China and Hong Kong shut for holidays and investors on the sidelines ahead of the open of the U.S. after a long-holiday weekend.
