Benchmark indices traded volatile on second trading session of the week ahead of TCS results that are going to be announced later in day however heavy selling in realty and metal stocks resulted in bringing the nifty in red territory. The global cues however remained mixed as most Asian stocks traded higher. Nifty ended the session to close above the psychological mark of 9100 at 9123.35. Private Banking stocks were the major gainers of the day while Realty and Metal stocks were the losers for the day.

Volkswagen’s China Chief Jochem Heizmann said the carmaker plans to launch a pure battery electric vehicle in China this year amid continued uncertainty over how China’s electric car quotas will be applied.
Japan’s Nikkei stock index took its cue from a rebound in U.S. shares and a weaker yen on Tuesday, ending higher and pulling away from its recent five-month lows.
