Benchmark indices consolidated on the first trading session of the week after a long weekend and ahead of coming long trading off of two days on account of Dasherra and Muharram as trading will be halted forfor both of these days. The Nifty ended the session to close at 8708.80 i.e. 11.20 points higher.
Tata Steel, ACC, Asian Paints, Cipla were the top gainers of the day Bharti Airtel, Adani ports, Reliance and NTPC were the top losers of the day.
